Address: Ground Floor, Robinsons Magnolia, New Manila, Quezon City
Date visited: February 2019
The Farfalle alla Genovese tasted good. The flavors were well-balanced and we were able to taste the pesto and mushrooms without one of them overpowering the other. The pasta was a little bit on the firm side.
The Linguine ‘La Foresta’ also had a balanced flavor with the bacon giving a smoky flavor which was complemented nicely by the strong flavor of the black olive slices and the tart tomato sauce. The linguine was al dente, which made the dish very enjoyable to eat.
The heart-shaped breads were a nice touch. They were sweet focaccia-like breads and were perfect with the pasta dishes.
We have eaten at several branches of this restaurant and at least twice in this branch and, service has been consistently acceptable although their overall service can (and should) be improved.
However, the cooking time during our visit took longer than reasonable and our orders didn’t even arrive at the same time.
The entire restaurant is located in the hallway of the Robinsons Magnolia mall – their kitchen and dining areas are in the hallway with no walls and doors. Although it is nice sometimes to easily get to your seat without having to maneuver through a cramped indoor dining area, having no walls takes away some of the restaurant’s personality.
The Value for Money
The Farfalle alla Genovese was P375 while the Linguine ‘La Foresta’ was P325. Serving sizes are on the smaller side which makes the prices steep.
Pro Tip: Their pizzas are the items you should order here if you want to get the most out of your money. (But still, they are pricey)#happyfoodtrippers
