Restaurant Review: Elar’s Lechon

Address: 151 Quezon Avenue Corner Speaker Perez, Lourdes, Banawe, Quezon City

Date bought: June 2019

The Taste

5/5

Elar’s Lechon is our favorite Manila-type lechon. The skin is very crispy on the first bite then, it just melts in your mouth. The meat tastes so clean, sweet, juicy and tender.

Their lechon sauce (not in the picture) is a liver-based sauce and is on the sweet side – the perfect condiment to this masterpiece.

The Service

N/A

We bought this for take out/ take away so we can’t really review their service.

The Place

3/5

The dining area of their main branch is in the style of a carinderia or a canteen where dishes are already cooked and it is just a matter of placing them in plates or bowls. The seats and tables also give the feel of a carinderia but the place is relatively clean.

The Value for Money

5/5

We love Elar’s Lechon. 1/4 kg of lechon is P250, which is a steal!

Pro Tip: Eat the lechon ASAP. Also, the skin should NOT be microwaved! The leftovers (if any) makes for the most delicious paksiw!
