Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things (213 Banawe St, Quezon City, Metro Manila)

What we ate:

Champion Buffalo Wings in Garlic Parmesan and The Rookie sauces (~PhP280/pound) and Nachos N’ Salsa (~PhP100)

Taste = 4.5/5

–          When we were travelling for the nth time along Banawe St., we wanted to try a restaurant on the far side of the street. We saw that there was a wings place in the area so we tried their chicken wings. The wings were juicy and the coating of the flavour on the wings was even. The taste of the wings was good and the Rookie sauce had the right amount of spiciness for us. The Garlic Parmesan flavour was also a delight to eat. The amount of flavour was just right – not too little that you can just barely detect it but not too much that it would make you not want to eat any more. The nachos were crisp and very crunchy though we would have wanted it to be warm when served. The salsa was the usual one but it was still good and tasted fresh and not from the can.

Service = 5/5

–          They had attentive servers and they gave good service to their customers. It didn’t take much effort in getting their attention to get service and they moved fast enough.

Ambience = 4/5

–          There was an indoor and an outdoor dining area and both felt comfortable. This particular branch was relatively new when we ate there, everything was neat and clean. The atmosphere was friendly as well.

Value for money = 5/5

–          The serving sizes, quality of the food and the service were really above average. Good thing their prices were very reasonable and we hope they continue to do well.

      Thanks a lot! We have been to the Cavite-Tagaytay area and have eaten at Chateau Hestia, Mer-Ben Tapsilogan, Breakfast at Antonio’s, Eli’s Barbecue, Bag of Beans, Leslie’s, Josephine’s, Ming’s Garden and of course, Mushroom Burger. Our reviews of some of these restaurants will come soon (except for Hestia, which we reviewed already). Hope you can try some of them out. 🙂

        Ya, I saw some of your posts on Instagram! 🙂 I go to Tagaytay but never tried the restaurants that can only be found in Tagaytay, even Mushroom Burger! Oh, wait, we ate Bulalo once somewhere (forgot that restaurant! hehe) Hopefully, I can still try some of them out. 🙂

        You have to try Mushroom burger, at least. 🙂 The mushroom sandwich (the one with no meat) is a must try. Hope you will like it. 🙂

        Being exposed to the bulalo in Manila, we found the Tagaytay bulalo more like nilaga. We don’t know if it’s just the restaurant’s version but we will try to the ones in the palengke area to make sure we’ve tried them all.

    What in the world is a rookie sauce? At least the champion Buffalo wings tasted nice. I love neat and clean and friendly restaurants wow! With huge servings, great food, I wouldn’t mind eating here at all!!! Thanks for sharing.

      Hello Liz! 🙂 The rookie sauce is for diners who are weaklings (like us) when it comes to spicy food. They actually have more “challenging” sauces which are named “Nuclear” and “Armageddon”. Some have described these as “inhuman”. We won’t be trying these sauces, hehehe.

      Thanks! 🙂 They have other branches! Ortigas Home Depot (Pasig); Solaris One Building and Glorietta 5 (Makati); Solenad 2, Nuvali (Sta. Rosa); SM North Edsa (Quezon City); SM Megamall (Mandaluyong)! Hope you like it too. Ingat lang dun sa Nuclear at Armageddon. Hehehe.

We want to hear from you
